Starting now until its May 5 symphony concert, The Delaware County Symphony is accepting bids for the chance to conduct a full symphony orchestra!
To join the orchestra’s esteemed list of guest conductors, which include Glenn ‘Hurricane’ Schwartz and Cecily Tynan, community members are invited to participate in the silent auction at the symphony concert or send a bid to publicity@dcsmusic.org by the evening of the concert, Sunday May 5.
The highest submitted bidder will be contacted directly and become the 2024 grand prizewinner.
The successful bidder will conduct the orchestra’s performance of John Philip Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever at the opening of the Rose Tree Park Summer Festival, on Wednesday June 12. They will also have the opportunity to rehearse with the orchestra and work with DCS Music Director Sebastian Grand.
