Master Gardeners of Delaware County Host Plant Sale May 11

Get a jump on filling your garden with beautiful perennials, annuals, and vegetable plants by attending the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Delaware County Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Smedley Park, 20 Paper Mill Road, Springfield, PA 19064.

This sale features great plants at great prices and much more! In addition to hand-selected, new nursery-grown plants, there are “new-to-you” Master Gardener grown and donated plants for sale. Plus, you can pot up your newly purchased plants in decorative containers for a small fee. There is also a Gardeners’ Marketplace with unique Master Gardener-crafted items.

There will also be educational tables for attendees and their families to learn more about the natural world around them, such as:

  • Soft Landings: Help butterflies survive by providing an attractive low-growing native plant habitat shelter under your trees.
  • Protect Your Health: Tick and Mosquito Management: Ecologically sound, effective, and low-cost strategies to reduce exposure to mosquitos and ticks.

  • Developing a Climate Resilient Garden: Steps you can take to improve your garden’s ability to adapt to and recover from extreme and variable weather conditions.

Master Gardeners will be on hand to help answer garden questions and provide guidance if you need it!
