The Tuscarora Lapidary Society (TLS) has summer classes and workshops to adults interested in pursuing lapidary and jewelry arts. No previous experience is needed unless a prerequisite is noted. Those registering must be at least 18 years of age. Students between the ages of 12 and 18 can take classes by becoming junior members of TLS.
Among the many offerings is a Glass Bead-Making: (Two-day workshop, Saturday & Sunday, July 13 & 14) 9AM-5PM. Limit 6. For those with some bead-making experience. Learn to make jewelry components with soft glass. Make glass headpins, cabochons, pendants, and bead sets for your jewelry designs, with a variety of intermediate and advanced techniques to decorate them. All supplies will be provided, but if you have a favorite color glass or tools, please feel free to bring them along. Instructors: Lisa Laffend and Zasha Morales-José.

on Thursday and Friday, July 25 & 26.
