laPadella’s Tempts Your Taste Buds

By Betty Lou Roselle

When a very good friend was visiting from North Carolina, I thought it would be a great idea to take her out for lunch. This was Margie’s first trip back to Delco and I wanted to make it special. We picked up another member of our group Marilyn and headed over to laPadella’s, 100 State Road, Media, PA 19063.

When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by Danny who would be our server. After bringing us our salads along with some of their fresh baked bread, he suggested we start with stuffed mushrooms with crab for our appetizer. It was an excellent choice, getting thumbs up from all.

Marilyn and I both ordered the Shrimp and Crab Linguini with asparagus in a white wine butter sauce (delicious!). Margie chose the Eggplant Parmigiano, thick cut, mozzarella, fresh linguine in tomato sauce (very tasty!). laPadella makes their own pasta, it’s light and delicious.

The portions were very generous and even though we were full, we couldn’t resist the dessert offerings. Marilyn choose the chocolate cheesecake. Danny brought it along and supplied extra forks so Margie and I could take a bite (wow!).

This was a perfect day, getting to see Margie after more than a year topped off by a great meal. Get out of the cold and warm up to lunch or dinner at laPadella’s.

Lunch is served Thurs. thru Sat. 11:30-2:30pm; Dinner is Tues.-Sun.: 3:00-9:00pm. Call  484-445-4445 to make a reservation. Visit the website at lapadellamedia.com.

Take a Moment to Pray for Peace

Dear God,

Our world is torn with war and violence. I pray that you provide this world with a peace that is only found in you.

I pray for those who are suffering from the results of war and violence. I pray you provide them with both physical and mental healing.

I pray for an end to these wars and acts of violence. I pray for your redemption. I pray for an end to all of the division between individuals, groups, and nations.

I pray for your healing. I pray for an end to all the trauma and hurting. I pray for your love to reign over all.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
