An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein is a full-length comedy by Shel Silverstein. The performance piece is aptly named, since it highlights the darker side of the well-known children’s author. If you loved Shel Silverstein as a child, you can’t miss this adult-only theatrical experience exploring the imagination of the famed poet, composer, cartoonist, and writer with his provocative short plays, mischievous music, and poetry for naughty children.
Spotlight Theatre will present “Nunsense” Feb. 14-23, 2025. This riotous show tells the story of a fundraiser put on by the Little Sisters of Hoboken to raise money to bury sisters accidently poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God). It’s been updated with new jokes, additional lyrics, two new arrangements, and a brand-new song.
