From a news release that was issued by the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania on September 28, 2026:
Strasburg, Lancaster County, PA —Dance to the fantastic Moonlighters big band playing live at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania during the 23rd annual 1940s Swing Dance on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
This toe-tapping tribute to the Greatest Generation on Trains & Troops weekend takes place among the historic trains in the Museum’s Rolling Stock Hall. Dress to impress in your best 1940s vintage attire or military uniform, if you like, to add to the fun!
Purchase your tickets online on the Museum’s website for:
- $25.00 per person general admission.
- $20.00 per person for students, U. S. military veterans, current U. S. service personnel —
active, guard and reserves — and current Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania
members. ID will be requested at the door for holders of $20.00 tickets.
A limited number of tickets will be available at the door until 7:30 p.m.
The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania tells the compelling human stories, preserves the irreplaceable iron icons and showcases the vast and diverse aspects of nearly 200 years of American railroad history. The Museum is home to a world-class collection of about 100 historic locomotives and railroad cars, a working restoration shop, an immersive education center, an extensive research library and archives, special events and exhibits and a Museum store.
